These shoes could make me reconsider my one-child instincts. They are that ridiculously adorable.

Co. & Kokorone is the baby of Murone Hideyuki and Nomura Kyoko. I ca’t wait to see what other things they come up with because these are so wonderful. Don’t they make you want a peanut to dress?

Delicate ceramics from artist Hitomi Nakagawa. Some available at Iichi. And I am really in need of that Gray Cross Dish! (hint hint to anyone in my family who might be reading this.)
My house is full of crazy colors and yet, I am so drawn the simplicity of some Japanese ceramics in a way I don’t quite understand. These do the trick for me completely.

I love her photo too. Doesn’t it make you want to buy something from her? (Like perhaps a gray cross bowl you give me for Christmas?)

Today, I’m drawn to these Proof of Guild key chains and mugs.

I’m not even one of those crazy animal people, and yet… What do you think?

Recently, I’ve been checking out all of the vendors from Design Tide. And here are the products I aspire to having from Un-do Design.
The Hanger Tree – “HANGER tree” takes all the hanger and clothes that often end up scattered in the room to create one single tree. As the branches grow, they become more functional and start to possess artistic expression that affects the environment.” (via)

Plenty of products to love at UN-Do Design.
“Un-do design” was formed in 2008 by Yasutaka Kimura (born 1982) and Rui Matsuo (born 1983). They employ primitive materials and methodology, which were processed to possess contemporary expression, creating products that are simple yet can induce conversations as well. (via)
Sure. I can see that. Shelves/boxes–whichever you choose.

Personal favorite? The Animal Cup Holder.

And I love the colors of the drawers in this unit.

Unfortunately, my home is the place where design goes to die among chaos. But still, a girl can dream, right?

It’s often hard to envision a contemporary Kimono. And yet, Takahashi Hiroko has done just that. And the result is stunning.

Could we wear them? Well, that’s still up for debate. Are they gorgeous? Unquestionably!

Available at the Hirocoledge Store, and there are fans too. Equally desirable.

Not ready to embrace the bright colors and stunning prints in your wardrobe? That’s okay. You can get these brilliant colors in Tenugui too.

And of course, there are
bags too.
Stunning! (Happy Saturday everyone!)

I know you’ve been going through withdrawal because I haven’t been posting enough bags lately.
These are from Mishim, and they are perfectly simple, which makes them all the more desirable as far as I’m concerned.

Also from Mishim, ceramics like the Pomme Cup and gorgeous Cafe Au Lait bowls, salad, and soup bowls. (These would go extremely well with my old Lotta Jansdotter ceramics!)

For today’s daily want, I can’t resist more from Afternoon Tea. This time, it’s a gorgeous clock from Noriyuki Shirasu.

I don’t often post about what I would consider “high design.” Often, I feel like it’s too far removed from real life, and things I can’t imagine integrating into a real life with kids, mess, and STUFF! Somehow, however, I can think of many ways to integrate these lovely things from Oji & Design into many parts of my life.
My favorite? The Baby In Table.

And perhaps the baby can drink from this wooden mug, without the sugar of course.

Sketchbook with Pencil Holder.

Storage bin, desk, and stool.

And yes, we know I have a thing about bags. Love this tote with the leather straps.

And the variation on the tote? A metal bucket with leather straps. Okay, so I wouldn’t use it as a purse, but I can think of plenty to do with it.

Total sucker for the umbrella broom.

And this pendant lamp would look great in my kitchen. Just letting you know.

Bottle openers. Choose your favorite.

Which would go nicely with the rest of these kitchen accessories.

Finally, I just ran over my wallet with my car. (Don’t ask. It was one of those days.) One of these card cases could make a perfect replacement.

As far as I am concerned, you can never go wrong with polka dot shoes on a child. Especially these. From Sayang Design. So lovely, and would take Dorothy wherever she wanted to go, even if they’re not red and sparkly.

Because I am definitely too old for these shoes, I think I will have to make do with these polka dot goodies from Japanistic.

Tape, Origami Paper, Stickers, I love my polka dots, even if I’m past the age where I can wear them on my feet.

Sadly, I’ve never competed in a sport that involved winning a ribbon. Now, I’m thinking I don’t need to.

Instead, perhaps I’ll be gifted one of these lovely ribbons from Whytrophy.

How lovely are these wedding ribbons? What a sweet idea!

There must be something each of us deserves a ribbon for, don’t you think?
