Co. & Kokorone Baby Shoes. Someone in my life needs to have a Baby!

Co. & Kokorone

These shoes could make me reconsider my one-child instincts. They are that ridiculously adorable.

Co. & Kokorone is the baby of Murone Hideyuki and Nomura Kyoko. I ca’t wait to see what other things they come up with because these are so wonderful. Don’t they make you want a peanut to dress?

An adorable child and animals in silly hats. Do you need anything more?

Everything about this is so, so, so right. For your dog, for your kid. Either way, you can’t go wrong. I love this dog and I love this  kid and I love them both wearing these Hats from Cherish.

My dog, the Martian. And, my baby, the martian.

You can also choose fruits and veggies.

FYI- my son and I are spending much time cracking up over these and saying “awwwww. sooooooo cute.” Seriously. This post has made us incredibly happy. Ridiculously, gleefully happy.

BUNNIES!

A WATERMELON hat!

Is your dog a Carrot Top?

I don’t even know what animal this is supposed to be – but it doesn’t matter at all!

May I also say that this dog and this child are AMAZINGLY cooperative? I don’t think either of mine would stand for this. And, it would be impossible for this child to be cuter.

Let’s Go Around the World, in our living room.

More than just a book, it’s your very own city. Work and Create with this book/activity combination, Panorama. Love this!

Polka Dot Shoes! And I love them!

As far as I am concerned, you can never go wrong with polka dot shoes on a child. Especially these. From Sayang Design. So lovely, and would take Dorothy wherever she wanted to go, even if they’re not red and sparkly.

Because I am definitely too old for these shoes, I think I will have to make do with these polka dot goodies from Japanistic.

Tape, Origami Paper, Stickers, I love my polka dots, even if I’m past the age where I can wear them on my feet.

The perfect dress for a Marlo Thomas Junior, and other kids cooler than I am.

Back to school means I crave new clothes, and since my son doesn’t care, I have to get my school shopping thrills living vicariously through others.

I am having too much fun looking at these clothes for kids, and if I look at these images with my eyes almost closed, it’s kind of like the children are dancing.

Who could resist this Marlo Thomas Dress for kids? Or, the Kid Trench?

The jacket with the bow is Killing Me!

And this girl with her pink glasses, tie, and jacket is fashion incarnate. Clothes by Rocket Salad.

These kids are all WAY cooler than I am. And these two know how to accessorize! (via)

As does this young one, in another Rocket Salad  – Rocket Mini outfit.

Yup. These girls are kickin’ it awesome.

School Supplies from Japanistic!

I’ve just done the first round of school shopping for my son and because he’s a 10-year-old boy, it’s honestly quite dull.

If I were to do it for myself, it would include many of the perfect school-ready notebooks and journals, stickies, folders, pencil cases, pencil sharpeners, erasers, and all of the other bits we have for you at Japanistic. Things like nifty Chopstick Pencil Pairs, Zero Per Zero Wall Calendars, crafty tape, and so much more. (And of course, we can get it all to you well before school starts.)

Happy back to school shopping!

Can someone explain these boots to me?

Retro and kind of 70s looking, in the most complimentary way possible, I would have loved to rock these boots as a kid.

My question though, is what are these added attractions?

A visibility panel in the back?  Why?

What are these things on the bottom? Why? Grips? Tread? Can openers?

Any ideas?

Bobo for Bebe

I have no interest in having another child. But I still find myself enamored of baby stuff. Toys and snuggly things particularly.

Japanese brand Bobo has struck my fancy, maybe because it’s baby toys that aren’t just about being cutesy. With an aesthetic that feels vaguely Peruvian, the toys, blankets, snuggly clothes, and more, come in great colors and attractive designs that don’t have that “my house is covered in baby” feel to them.

Doesn’t every baby need a vest to wear for special occasions?

Sigh. Just because I don’t want another actual baby, I wouldn’t mind having one to buy cute things for. I guess my friends and family need to get on that.

Baby Loves Totoro

It’s never to early to indoctrinate your child. Why not start their Totoro appreciation early with these baby toys?

Maybe a Totoro Towel cake?

Maybe I want a Totoro party for my next birthday. Would that be weird for a 40-year-old?

Japan: An Awesome Destination (seriously)

This little girl is in love with Japan, and if you didn’t want to visit before, her sweet take on it will make you want to save your pennies for a plane ticket.

My personal favorites in her video?

“Tokyo is a Younormous city which consists of over 40 villages smooshed together.”

“Japan gets 3500 earthquakes every single year. That’s a lot.”

“Do you like animation? If so, you might like Japan.”

“A Japanese diet includes lots of Fish. Raw fish, actually.”

But before I spoil everything, let’s just watch.

“They also have a variety of pets including hedgehogs, weasels, and chipmunks.”
Wait a minute – Did she say Hedgehogs?!?

Also, love the shaky camera work. Did a younger sibling help her with this?

“Enjoy Japan, even if you only go there in your dreams. I hope that you learn about the beauty, not just on the outside but also on the inside of this amazing cultural country.”

Thank you, Alexandra! We will!
