That’s right. It’s Cyber Monday. (But when you’re shopping at Japanistic, it’s really like you’re still supporting Plaid Friday since we’re a family-run, small business.)
To get ready for your holiday shopping, my staff has spent the weekend putting products online, checking our stock levels, and making sure we have plenty of packing tape to get those boxes out ASAP. Some things I think you might like?
Show your Japanistic love with our button collection, a set of six assorted buttons that come as a surprise. What will you get in your pack?

I still love me some Shinzi Katoh, and these Shinzi Katoh pens give me a taste of the cuteness, a little smile while I’m at my desk during the day. A stocking stuffer perhaps?

Think your mom could get into the whole Bento thing, but not with a bento that had a cute cartoon character on the top? This Cherry Blossom Bento is slightly more sophisticated, but still holds plenty of yummy lunch for your mama.

How about some Sushi Playing Cards as a stocking stuffer for your favorite sushi lover?

Have someone crafty on your list? In our storefront in Massachusetts, we sell these Envelope Templates like crazy. Personally, I like that it combines the best of being crafty and recycling whatever paper you have handy, or think might look best around your holiday card.

If you are like me, the New Year means the opportunity to choose a new Calendar. For the Japanophile in your life, I recommend this Tokyo Planner from Zero Per Zero.

I like to make my own thank you notes when the holiday is over. And these Merci Beaucoup stamps will come in handy.

And perhaps a little gift for you, when you need to relax after all that holiday shopping, a little something I found on my trip to Japan. A Sea Sponge, soft and luxurious. The small sea sponges are perfect for your face, but they also come in Medium and Larger sizes for a full-body scrub.

I can’t resist showing you a little something extra about these sponges. The lovely Mr. Ishimizu who I bought them from.
Here he is, with a sponge in its natural state, before being washed and prepped for you, and wearing a tie featuring the bridges of Venice.
When we got to his office, his entire staff was standing there, almost at attention, and, I kid you not, the U.S. national anthem was playing as they held the American flag. (And yes, they did this for each country represented on my trip.)

How could I have resisted his sponges?
As always, there’s plenty more to see at Japanistic, and deals I haven’t even told you about here. Hope to hear from you soon, and of course, that you are looking forward to a wonderful holiday.
