I wonder how much a last minute ticket to Tokyo would cost me so that I could spend May 15th and 16th at Design Festa. Billed at Asia’s largest International Art Event, the festival gathers nearly 3000 artists and crafters for two days of exhibitions, music, and food celebrating art. (via) The festival, which happens in May and October, was founded in 1994 and has grown expontentially since then.
Here’s some sneak peeks:

Kaoru Takahashi's AMANDA, Kanagawa, Japan (via)

YUKIKo Saburi, Tokyo, Japan

Shin Factory, Tokyo, Japan

Wakitao, Aichi, Japan

Bird coin purses from Tres+, Kyoto, Japan

Shichisan, Tokyo, Japan

Uncoro, Fukuoka, Japan

Atelier Coco, Hyogo, Japan
I’m sure I’ll post more this week, because it’s my way of exploring without actually being there. (And it’s a good thing I can’t be because frankly, we just don’t have the wall space!)
