I need to learn to sew! (Just to use these new Japanese fabrics)

May 27th, 2010 · No Comments

I am, admittedly, a sewing novice. I managed my son’s Halloween costume last year but only with PLENTY of help from a friend. That said, I love fabric. And so does the writer of Trueup, a blog dedicated to fabric and fabric lovers.

This week, she features some of the gorgeous new fabrics from Japanese fabric companies being showcased at the 2010 Spring Quilt Market. Japanese fabric companies Yuwa/Kei, Hokkoh, Kiyohara, and others make textiles to drool over. (And if I could sew, I’d make something to mop it up!)

Need more Japanese Fabric fixes? No problem. Every Monday is Japanese fabric day at Trueup. (But it’s worth checking at other times since the fabric selection is always terrific.)
