About the designers:
ATSUYO designed shoes in Japan after completing a degree in fashion design in college and spent 2 years in Tokyo and Milan studying pattern-making and sketching. She moved to New York in the late '90's, worked for TOCCA as a handbag designer and met AKIKO who was working for the reverred Japanese artist AMANO. Akiko's career in art also began in Japan where she earned a BFA in painting and printmaking at Tokyo Zokei University.
